Check your smoke alarm batteries regularly. You should also keep 1 or 2 fire extinguishers inside your unit. Clean out your dryer duct behind the dryer often. Lint is very flammable. Also check (and clean) your bathroom vents.
Quiet hours at Makee ‘Ailana are between 10:00pm and 7:00am. During these hours, please refrain from making noise in your unit, on your lanai, in the elevator, and especially on the walkways of each floor. This does disturb other residents. Also please do not use the trash chute during quiet hours.
Residents and Guests must remove ALL sand and water BEFORE entering this building. It is a safety issue as well as proper housekeeping.
Nothing is permitted to be stored on any floor of Makee ‘Ailana walkways, common areas or in parking stalls.
If you plan to move anything in or out of the building, you must first inform the Resident Manager, Chris Gipson, to put the protective pads on the Elevator walls.
Do not put boxes, large bags or bottles down the trash chute! Please take them to the dumpster on the lower lobby level. Please always remember to close the door completely. This is also a fire safety concern.
Before you remodel or renovate your unit, you are required to fill out the appropriate form(s) and submit them to the Board for review and/or approval. The forms are available for download in the Documents section of this site.
If you plan to be away from your unit for a lengthy period of time (i.e. weeks or months), please turn off the main water valve in your front hallway closet. Also, the electric breaker to your hot water heater. This will reduce the possibility of a water leak while you are away.
